Stjórn

The artists behind Storrveldi is Stjórn Revali. She is a self taught artist and couturier whose work defies convention. With a background in anthropology and a life shaped by eclectic paths, including nearly becoming a nun, her designs reflect a deep connection to identity, folklore, and the diverse cultures she’s encountered through travel. Each of her one-of-a-kind collections is crafted entirely from recycled materials, combining sustainability with storytelling. A private and reclusive soul, Stjorn channels her singular vision into pieces that are as mysterious and layered as her life itself.

The story of Storrveldi

Stjorn draws inspiration from folklore, theology, and her own identity, blending academic insight with whimsy and imagination. As a lifelong student and thinker, she infuses her work with layers of meaning drawn from her studies in religion, culture, and history. She often weaves in unexpected references from her personal interests. Furthermore, she regularly collaborates with different communities to study sacred iconography, and the dynamics of community and belonging.

Though reclusive by nature, Stjorn’s work speaks volumes. Each collection invites the viewer into a world that is both intimate and expansive, built on themes of transformation, memory, and myth. At once cerebral and visceral, her art challenges fast fashion and embraces the beauty of slowness, story, and self-expression.
