Stjórn

Stjórn Revali is a self-made artist, couturier, and performance director whose work weaves together mythology, sustainability, and immersive storytelling.

With a background in anthropology and global collaboration, her creative practice explores the sacred, the symbolic, and the transformational power of clothing and performance.

Through her design house Storrveldi, Stjórn crafts one-of-a-kind collections entirely from recycled materials. Each garment is a story; a reflection on identity, folklore, and belonging. Her work is informed by her academic studies in religion and culture, and by lived experiences with diverse communities across Europe and North America. She regularly engages with sacred iconography, memory, and myth to shape collections that resist fast fashion and embrace slow, intentional creation.

The story of Storrveldi

Beyond her design work, Stjórn is a seasoned creative director and production leader. She has produced and directed original runway-dance showcases for New York Fashion Week, Fashion Art Toronto, and numerous international stages. Her productions blend visual design with choreographed performance, requiring extensive coordination of dancers, videographers, set teams, and technical crews.

She personally oversees all logistics for her productions , managing schedules, budgets, health and safety compliance, and risk management across multiple venues. Her leadership style is rooted in clarity, respect, and collaborative excellence.

Though reserved by nature, her work speaks boldly. Whether on the runway or in theatrical spaces, Stjórn invites audiences into worlds that are at once intimate and expansive  meditations on transformation, memory, and meaning through the language of garment and stage.
