I’ve been on a philosophical deep dive about this topic for a while. I am honestly tired of hearing how ai makes art accessible when in reality it doesn’t … AI is delegitimizing art and making a mockery out of it. As a person not boring into a place of financial privilege I understand the frustration of not having access to high quality materials, an artistic education or even the time afford to create. It’s so frustrating to not be taking seriously in some circle just because I am not educated at a prestigious, fashion school or for the fact that I don’t use the most expensive fabrics. And even more so, I hate having to work two jobs to support myself when I wish I could just dedicate my time to creating. But I thug it out anyways, because I am passionate about what I do. Before I could sew , I would hot glue everything and just play around with shapes and draping until I saved up enough to afford a sewing machine. There are nights I don’t sleep cause I finished a double shift but I have a concept I need to work on.
